Weeden Touchdowns Not Enough in Loss to Colts

Josh Gordon

Despite a two touchdown game from Brandon Weeden, the Cleveland Browns lost 17-13 to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday afternoon.

Weeden had 256 yards on 25-of-41 attempts. The rookie’s first touchdown pass came in the second quarter when Weeden completed a 14-yard pass to Greg Little. The Browns missed the point after try and trailed 7-6.

The second Weeden touchdown pass came in the third quarter when he completed a 33-yard pass to Josh Gordon, which cut the Colts lead to one point.

Cleveland had its fair share of opportunities to take the lead during the second half, but they weren’t able to capitalize.

It was another tough loss for the Browns and the loss came just a week after they got win #1 of the season against the Bengals.

Trent Richardson, who has been dealing with rib injuries, carried the ball eight times in the game and was not used in the second half. Montario Hardesty led the Browns in rushing with 28 yards.

Cleveland’s home next Sunday to play the Chargers. Maybe they can get it together for next week.
