Brandon Weeden was the 22nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
Weeden, 28, was the starting quarterback for Oklahoma State University in 2010 and 2011. While at OSU, he set a number of school records and received a number of accolades. OSU was the 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champion. OSU defeated Stanford, led by 2012 NFL Draft overall first pick Andrew Luck.
Not bad Weeden! Not bad.
That’s why Weeden is today’s Tight End Tuesday!
Another interesting fact about Weeden? This wasn’t the first time he was drafted. He was drafted in the second round of the 2002 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees. He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers the next year. And in 2005, was selected as a Rule 5 Draft pick by the Kansas City Royals. A number of injuries and a high ERA led to him leaving baseball in 2006. In 2007, Weeden enrolled at OSU and red-shirted his freshman season.
Enough talk? Ready for some pictures? Thought so!
Like this a little better?
Ready for some action shots? Here we go!
Yeah, Weeden isn’t your typical rookie quarterback. But he will definitely be entertaining to watch next season.
As I have said previously, Tight End Tuesday isn’t just for Tight End position players. Having a tight end is just as good! … You want one more picture of Brandon? OK, ok!
Yeah yeah! You’re welcome! Have a great Tuesday!
