Seattle Seahawk’s QB Russell Wilson
For the second week in a row, a rookie quarterback has led their team to a comeback victory over a powerful team. Last week it was Andrew Luck lifting the Indianapolis Colts over the Green Bay Packers. This week, Russell Wilson lifted the Seattle Seahawks over the New England Patriots defeating them 24-23.
Wilson is really coming around as a solid NFL quarterback in his rookie season and will have strong consideration for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Wilson was 16-for-27 for 293 yards and threw three touchdowns against the Patriots. He was calm and collected in the pocket and moved with ease to find his targets down the field. One of Wilson’s better qualities is that he keeps a calm, mental state up until the final minute, which is why he was able to come out victorious over New England.
The Seahawks have gone from being one of the mediocre teams in the NFL to being a solid one. With Wilson going strong and the defense playing the way they are, the future years of Seattle look bright.
