Lauren Silberman (per Elitedaily.com)
Good Monday Morning to You All!
I have some NFL news links to share with you and then … videos! Yay! Here we go!
Girl Kicker
So Lauren Silberman’s try out at the NFL Regional Combine in New Jersey didn’t exactly go well.
In fact, it only lasted two kicks… that didn’t even go 20 yards.
Lauren, a 28-year-old New York City resident who played club soccer at the University of Wisconsin, made history by being the first woman to participate in a regional combine. She told NFL.com last month it was a dream to be “trying out to play in the world’s most competitive football league.”
Lauren’s kickoffs traveled 19 and 13 yards, respectively. After her second kick, she waved over a trainer, effectively ending her day. She later told reporters she aggravated a quadriceps injury she suffered last week while training.
NFL.com’s Aditi Kinkhabwala said Lauren didn’t kick a single ball during her 30-minute warmup, opting instead to do push-ups and abdominal crunches. Lauren told Kinkhabwala she had been kicking footballs for only a couple of months and wouldn’t divulge what was the longest distance she had kicked.
… Well that’s a little frustrating to learn. What a disappointment!

Manti Te’o is fast y’all. … No, really!
So… this quote is amazing.
“I think the 40 time measures what the 40 time is supposed to measure,” Te’o said. “I think that’s something that I’m going to get better. The only way from here is up, so I’m definitely going to get better at that. I think, as far as play, I think what’s on the film, that’s the play. Obviously, I can get faster in my 40.”
Obvious, huh?
Funsies!
And since it is Monday, I will present you with two videos! One that will make you go Aww! And another that will make you laugh! Enjoy!
