Colts Win In OT On The Road

Vick Ballard contorts himself to get into the endzone for the winning touchdown for the Colts.

A spectacular 16-yard touchdown throw from Andrew Luck to Vick Ballard sealed the overtime victory for the Indianapolis Colts 19-13 Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The win broke a 10 game losing streak on the road for the Colts. The win also moves the Colts, who mind you are being lead by all-world-everything rookie QB Andrew Luck, to 4-3. The Titans, who lost their QB Jake Locker earlier in the season and are being led by veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck, are now 3-5.

Luck was 26 of 38 passing for 297 yards. He ran the ball six times for 28 yards. Haseelbeck was 22 of 29 passing for 236 yards and a touchdown pass to Kendall Wright.

Tennessee kicker Rob Bironas was two for three on field goal attempts with his longest being a 39-yard shot. During overtime, camera crews showed Bironas getting stretched out but he never came into the game to kick even when the Titans had gotten the ball to a range of 56 yards – a distance Bironas is well capable of hitting – electing instead to punt rather than knock down a potential game winning FG.  After the game Bironas said this was a coaching decision. A head scratcher if you are a Titans fan for certain.

The Titans take on the Bears next weekend in Nashville. A pretty daunting task for sure.

The Colts take on the Dolphins next Sunday in Indianapolis. Should be an entertaining game!
