The Chiefs traveled to San Diego for some Thursday night football action against the Chargers. It did not go well, with the Chiefs falling with a rather Halloweenish score of 13-31. And while I’d love to discuss with you why Philip Rivers always looks like he’s only using half his mouth, I’ll focus on the game instead. I present:
10 THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE GAME (highlights seemed too strong a word)
0 times the Chiefs have led in regulation this season
1 former Chief made a touchdown when Demorrio Williams intercepted a deflected Cassel pass intended for Dexter McCluster)
2 really good Chiefs hairdos- I’m looking at you, Stanzi and Charles
3 fights. Okay, I lost count, there were just a lot of them
4 more turnovers this game (that’s 29 in the season so far, 1 more than all of last season)
5th straight loss for the Chiefs
6 seconds when I thought the game had a chance of turning around with Eric Berry’s interception of Philip Rivers in the endzone right before halftime
7th leading rusher in the NFL is Jamaal Charles, who was sidelined with a neck injury in the 4th quarter
8 times I thought, “this can’t possibly get worse” and then it did
9ish times the ball came loose. Okay, I’m making this number up too, but seriously, I think someone greased the football because that thing got a lot of action rolling around on the ground.
10 days before Chiefs fans have to go through this again
The (1-7) KC Chiefs head to Pittsburgh to face the (4-3) Steelers for some Monday Night Football action on the 12th.
