Chiefs Bungle and Fall to Buccaneers

The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers, falling 38-10.

The Chiefs were led by back-up quarterback Brady Quinn, starting for the first time in nearly three years after regular QB Matt Cassel was concussed last week. Quinn was intercepted twice and the Bucs defense held KC RB Jamaal Charles to only 12 carries for 40 yards. The Chiefs one touchdown came from an blocked Bucs punt/weird punter pass interception.

The Buccaneers snapped a three game losing streak with this game, and formerly inconsistent QB Josh Freeman threw for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns. Mike Williams scored the first touchdown for the Bucs in the first quarter, while Vincent Jackson caught the other two in the second half. Ronde Barber scored on the 78 yard interception. A final touchdown by LeGarrett Blount made the game a blow out win by the Bucs.

The 5-1 Chiefs have a bye week next weekend while the 3-3 Buccaneers face the New Orleans Saints in Tampa Bay.
