Aerys NFL Power Rankings – Week One

AerysNFLPwrRankingsAfter quite the entertaining first week of action in Week One of the NFL, the ladies of Aerys NFL discussed who we believe is at the top of the power rankings of the league. Some teams? Obvious! Other teams? Not so much!

The Broncos and the Niners were unanimous choices!

Broncos: Denver had a dominating performance last week over the Baltimore Ravens, 49-27. Peyton Manning lead the route with a record setting seven touchdown passes. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Manning takes on his little brother, Eli, as Denver heads to New York to take on the Giants! Basically, I don’t see this winning really slowing down!

Niners:  Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers looked to have picked up where they left off and with a little fire power in the addition of Anquan Boldin! Their match-up with the Seahawks Sunday evening will be excellent television!

Next Up!

Eagles: Michael Vick and the Eagles looked good on Monday Night Football! They looked like a team. Finally! Vick and the Eagles have an even better test to see just how good they are when they take on an improved San Diego Chargers in Philly!

Saints Yup yup! Drew Brees and the Saints kicked some tail against the Falcons, and look to do it again against the Bucs. If this is your local game, I would place money on getting another game by half time! Bless! Rest up Josh Freeman! Rest up!

Seahawks  The Seahawks won 12-7 last week against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Russell Wilson and Hawks take on the Niners. Again, this will probably be the best game to watch Sunday without someone named Manning playing in it! Get your snacks ready!

Also, also:

Patriots Life for Tom Brady without Wes Welker or Aaron Hernandez seemed rough! Winning only 23-20 over the Buffalo Bills seems bad for a Patriots team. But never fear, the Pats may have hit the schedule just right to regain themselves!  They take on the New York Jets, sans Mark Sanchez, tonight in Thursday Night Football action.

Texans Houston came back from down 28-14 in the third quarter to defeat an improved San Diego Chargers team. It was impressive. They take on the Tennessee Titans, also 1-0, Sunday in Houston.

Chiefs Really? It’s just nice to the Chiefs have a quarterback in Alex Smith. And that they won! They get a real test, maybe, when the Dallas Cowboys come to town! Hopefully, the Chiefs defense was paying some attention to Sunday Night Football last week!

Other votes:

Falcons: They lost 23-17 to the Saints. They play the St. Louis Rams, who are 1-0, on Sunday. This should be a much better test for both teams. I think Matty Ice and the boys will perform much better!

Packers: Yeah they lost to the Niners. But it was a close game. They play RG3 and the Redskins at Lambeau on Sunday. We should see how they really are in this match-up!

Bills: Lost a close one to the Patriots, 23-20. They take on the Carolina Panthers in Buffalo. Maybe, we will see a victory for the Bills.  … Maybe!
