He’s baaaaaaack!
Kevin Garnett will return to the Boston Celtics, according to reports.
He was set to become an unrestricted free agent starting tomorrow, but Danny Ainge recently said that Garnett would either retire or return to the team he has played with for the past five years.
The deal is for three years and reportedly worth more than $30 million.
According to CSNNE.com:
While his new contract will be for significantly less than the $21.2 million he made last season, it is very much in line with what Garnett would have been in line for if he truly tested the free agent waters and allowed other teams to seriously compete for his services.
This deal is a major mark off the Celtics’ offseason checklist, and now the team will look to complete its roster for the 2012-2013 season.
