A few of the youngsters came into the room all at the same time. Lance Lynn, Matt Carpenter, and Tyler Greene, while all being soft-spoken, are all very obviously ready for baseball to be back.
Lance Lynn:
“There’s a lot I can take from relieving into starting, but I just want to pitch. That’s what matters to me.”
Matt Carpenter:
“I’m going to go into camp ready and go in healthy. I’m here to play, and I’ll do whatever and play wherever they want me to play.”
Tyler Greene:
“I’m just going to make sure I’m ready to play. I’m going to get some work in at second base, get an opportunity where I can. Everyone’s going to be working for it and working hard.”
It’s going to be an interesting spring training all around, it looks like. Can’t wait.
