The fairy tale ending is now complete!
The St. Louis Cardinals completed the journey from 10 1/2 games back in the wild card race on Aug. 25 to become World Series champs tonight, beating the Texas Rangers 6-2.
The championship is the Cardinals 11th total, finishing the magcal journey to #11in11!
After last night, plus driving in the game-tying RBI tonight in the first inning, David Freese was named World Series MVP. What a postseason for him! Although the same can be said for the entire team, obviously!
