Georgia Tech Making The Most Of the NBA Lockout

Despite the fact that Atlanta’s basketball fan base has come under criticism recently, Georgia Tech’s basketball team is looking to get the most out of displaced fans. They’ve already begun touting the slogan, “Big time basketball is alive and well in Atlanta,” and the team will play the majority of its home games at Philips Arena. Georgia Tech’s Wayne Hogan said,

“The longer the lockout goes, the more people will be looking for alternatives. ACC basketball in Philips is a pretty good alternative.”

The Yellow Jackets play their first game at Philips Arena against Northwestern on November 29.
