Just jokes. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas. I spent mine with hot Latinos getting sloshed next to the pool in Miami. So mine was great.
I saw the Hobbit yesterday.
Meh.
Quite disappointed by it.
You should have gone to see Le Mis….
I’m not spending $10 on a movie that I really have not urgency to see.
I’ll see it, but I’ll wait until it is available via netflix or something.
How could you possibly be disappointed? I was all set to hate it, and it won me over.
It was long and boring. To my great disappointment, even the game of riddles between Gollum and Bilbo was too long. Peter Jackson did not do a very effective job of incorporating the “appendices”…as ever spot where that material is used completely bogs down the movie. Lengthy stretches of the movie of boring speculative discussion just killed any momentum the story had. In the end, I was very much reminded of Star Wars Episode 1.
And while some aspects of the 48fps 3D looked spectacular, most of the special effects looks comically fake.
WRONG.

I saw a headline in the Daily Herald the other day that read ‘White Sox will miss Pierzynski’ and I thought “so will CubbieJulie”.

I’m not sure what the point of having another thread is…there is almost no news relating to the Cubs right now.
We could have a post where new year resolutions for the cubs players could be posted…
