Cubs Thursday Headlines: I’ve got nothing

Seriously. Just . . nothing.

I mean, we could talk about whether Sammy will ever get into the Hall of Fame, but I’m not sure I actually care.

Or we could talk about Cubs Convention, but . . eh.

And honestly, I can not find one single piece of Cubs info that we’ve not discussed.

So, can we talk about Affleck not getting an Oscar nod for Argo? What’s up with that?

are these real drawings, or possible, maybe, ideas of a project?

I do love going into architecture critic mode though

From what I’ve understood, no concrete plans and drawings will be made until the financing deal is complete. Any drawings that will likely be released in the near future will be nothing more than conceptual…basically to give the neighborhood an idea of what any potential additions to the ballpark might look like.

I’m not sure why the Cubs feel like they have to play their games at Wrigley. If the Ricketts family was smart, they’d just open up the ballpark all year round, have all the vendors there and just let people pay $60 to come in and have a good time buying $8 bison dogs and $7.50 Bud Lights while ignoring anything that might be going on in the field…then build the Cubs a brand new ballpark somewhere else and actually have the team play there.

        Everyone will be happy.

    Argo was good, but over-dramatized.

I haven’t seen Argo yet, but I heard great things from everyone on it, and I like Ben Afflek directing

I finally saw Les Mis last night, I can’t believe Hooper didn’t get nominated, I liked that he had a point of view and didn’t just do an easy movie

I’m super excited about Great Gatsby though, I love Baz Lurhmann, I can’t believe I didn’t know that he was directing it

The Cubs signed a crappy outfielder and an even crappier infielder to minor league deals today.
