Cubs Live Game Thread: It’s Game Time…

No literally it’s game time so lets play a game.

We all have come up with pretty cool nicknames for are fellow Cubbies. So what do we call this dude?

Chris Rusin will start Tuesday’s game against Milwaukee, making his major league debut. Brooks Raley, who was sent back to Triple-A Iowa after Saturday’s start, is scheduled to return on Saturday against Colorado at Wrigley Field. He’s likely to stay in the rotation.

So we have Boo Raley, Spellcheck, Beef Castle, Sorryiano, Bjax, The Jesus, Stever the Cleaver etc…

I don’t even no how to pronounce Rusin. Is it Rusin (Roo-sin) like cruisin’ for a bruisin’? (Because he probably is). Or is it Rusin (Russ-in) like we will be cussin’? (Probably that too)

Anywho, let’s start the game.

Tonight our loveable umm development team will be taking on again Dale Svuems old team. We will be starting our 9th pitcher of the year. (More then any other team in MLB)

Normal game time: 7:10 CST

Well. we could call Rusin “Rushing”, as in the Cubs are rushing him up to the majors. Or we could call him “PTNL”, since he could end up in a trade package down the road, or we could call him,”temp”, since he may go back down to the minors after tonight, or we could call him “Rookie” for the obvious.

I bet Dale if he even knows his name will call him “Rush” or “Rushie”….

Rusin hits a triple in his first big-league at-bat. Also has two hitless innings so far.

The Cubs just had two overthrows on “around the horn” following an out.

Why the Cubs took out Rusin is beyond me. Just another stupid Cubs move.

The Milwaukee TV announcers just commented that they noticed that Darlin Starlin is struggling to stay awake on the field between pitches.

Rusin had 1 run on 1 hit in 5 innings. Svuem takes him out and BOOM 3 runs score on Cabrera. Cabrera’s pitch count in 1 inning is almost as many as Rusin threw through 5. I’m going back to my book and my bottle. Call Human Resources if you don’t like it. I think the HR Director has the hots for me.

And before I forget. This team sucks, Svuem sucks, management sucks, Marmol sucks, Cabrera sucks. I hate this team. There I’m done. Did I forget anything?
