So I set down my book to write a thread.
Their isn’t anything real sexy about the Cubs right now but the game must go on and so must this site.
Justin Germano believes he pitched better than the box score would indicate after he gave up seven runs to the Milwaukee Brewers in his last outing.
He will get another chance to prove he can fare well against the Brewers when these NL Central rivals open a four-game set Monday night at Wrigley Field.
“People might think I’m crazy, but I feel like I pitched a lot better than the line shows,” Germano said. “I got ground balls that last inning. They just hit them where our guys weren’t. It’s part of the game. A couple inches to the left, a couple inches to the right, I could get out of that inning with just a couple runs. I definitely battled that last inning just trying to get that third out.”
Couple of inches to the left and to the right mean a lot in this game brutha Germano.
Ryan Braun is back in town so that should make Julie happy.
Ryan who leads the majors with a .590 slugging percentage, is 13 for 43 (.302) against the Cubs.
Today’s Lineup consists of:
Cubs lineup:
DeJesus RF, Vitters 3B, Rizzo 1B, Soriano LF, Castro SS, Clevenger C, Jackson CF, Barney 2B, Germano P
Brewers lineup:

And GOOD LUCK to the Cubbbies on our march to the WILD CARD.
GO CUBS!
Johnny, your table for the starting lineup doesn’t look very nice tonight.
I think your seeing things
I don’t even know who any of these pitchers are anymore…
Cubs are on a roll in the 3rd
I prefer the Cubs on a couple slices of white bread instead of a roll.
And, the Cubs are losing now….
Holy crap! LaHair got on-base!
That was embarrassing.
One bright note… it looks like Mather has been playing out of position all season.
