Now then, turning our attention to tonight’s game, there’s really only one thing you need to know: Anthony Rizzo is not here yet.
Oh, very well, I’ll tell you a few other things. Jeff Samardzija (3-4, 3.56) is going to pitch against southpaw Joe Saunders (3-4, 4.20). Casey Coleman is okay after Eduardo Escobar attempted to murder him with a bat, and Anthony Rizzo isn’t here yet. Oh, I guess I already mentioned that. Well, I can’t stress that enough, people.
I can also tell you that, despite his truly putrid outing against the White Sox, the Cubs say they are sticking with Randy Wells in the rotation, for now. Dempster must really be hurt if he couldn’t even coach my softball team last night. I mean, it’s not like you do much but stand around while coaching softaball (though Johnny Knox did give us all heart palpitations when he decided to PLAY despite being on the mend from a broken back (or something). Anyhoo, I digress.

So yes, the Cubs have completely deviated from the lineup that helped them take 2-3 from the (then) first place White Sox. Though, to be fair, Zach Stewart also helped them take 2-3 from the White Sox. Go figure.
