Up this week for the Providence Profiles is defenseman Colby Cohen. Cohen should be familiar to Hockey East fans for his three-year stint at Boston University. During that time, Cohen was named most outstanding player of the Frozen Four Tournament after scoring the overtime game-winning goal over the Miami Redhawks to lead BU to the 2009 National Championship.
That goal you can check out here:

Cohen left BU before his senior year to play for the Lake Eerie Monsters, the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. He spent two seasons with the Monsters, even making his NHL debut in 2010 before signing with the Providence Bruins.
This year will be Cohen’s third year with the P-Bruins. In 2011, Cohen was called up to the Boston Bruins as an extra member for the 2011 Stanley Cup playoff run. Because he never played, his name was not included on the trophy. However, you will notice in the official Bruins Stanley Cup Champions picture, that Cohen is pictured.
The 23-year-old has made a solid effort in his time in Providence playing in 102 games before this current season started last week. In that time, he has tallied five goals and 23 assists.
