Nyjer Morgan of the Washington Nationals surely did not act like the bigger man when he charged the mound and punched Chris Volstad last September 1. Now he seems to have grown up, according to him.
Nyjer was hit by a pitch from Ricky Nolasco during a spring training game on Sunday, March 13. According to a tweet from Gaby Sanchez, Nyjer said nothing to him when he reached first base. (I think he knows better especially after what Gaby did to him.)

Nyjer did have something to say, however. He thinks Ricky hit him on purpose and he made sure he let MLB media know. Nyjer said the following:
“No question, without a doubt. It’s obvious because of what happened last year. Obviously, they haven’t turned the page. But I’m going to be a stronger player, better person. I’m not going to react to it.”
Ricky is coming back from an injury. He did also hit another National. His pitching was out of control. I also think Nyjer needs to put this behind him and let it go. The world is not out to get him, especially on spring training.
The Fish lost to the Nationals on Sunday 5-1.
