We know, it’s been rough to see player after player go down with injuries. And as much as we love getting to know the guys from Wilkes-Barre, we can’t help but be a bit bummed out.
To fight the blues (no pun intended), here are a few suggestions…
1. Do Your Holiday Shopping…the Penguins Way
If the NHL is good at one thing, it’s making the weirdest merchandise possible. While you can’t get a toaster with the Pens logo on it (…those lucky Avalanche fans), there is still plenty of kooky stuff to bring Pittsburgh Penguins joy into your life. And if there is one thing your mom has had her eye on, it’s that 24K gold Penguins door-knocker.
2. Head to the Penguins Pond
The “Penguins Pond” community ice-skating rink is located in the South Side Works and is open for public skating throughout the week. You can also watch high school games or rent the ice your very own Winter Classic! For more information, including hours of operation and admission rates, click here.
4. Send the Team Get-Well Wishes
Break out the crayon box and send our down-and-out players something to brighten their day. Just send your mail to the following address:
