At the age of 78, England World Cup winner and former Manchester United player Nobby Stiles has been confirmed dead.
This was confirmed by the Stiles’ family, that the former defensive midfielder passed away on Friday after succumbing to his long-term illness.
This was confirmed in a statement released by the family: “The Stiles family are sad to announce that Nobby Stiles passed away peacefully today surrounded by his family after a long illness.
“The family kindly ask for privacy at this sad time.”
